Parc Ynni Calon y Gwynt Photomontage

Welcome to the Parc Ynni Calon y Gwynt project website.

Parc Ynni Calon y Gwynt is a proposed energy park which is located approximately 2.7km to the north of Clatter in the administrative area of Powys County Council (PCC). The proposed energy park would combine wind turbines and battery storage to generate clean energy and contribute to Wales’ ambitious renewable energy targets.

Parc Ynni Calon y Gwynt's public exhibitions will take place locally on 17 and 18 June 2026. These exhibitions will provide an opportunity for members of the public to meet the project team, learn more about the proposals, and ask any questions they may have.

The events will also mark the beginning of a wider programme of engagement with statutory consultees, local communities and other stakeholders ahead of the formal Pre-Application Consultation (PAC). This website will be updated during the exhibitions to reflect the latest iteration of the proposals and the information presented at the events.

In the weeks following the exhibitions, the project will enter the formal Pre-Application Consultation stage. As part of this process, further information and assessment work relating to the environmental disciplines will be published, providing consultees with an opportunity to review and comment on the proposals before a planning application is submitted.
